Iva was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. At the age of nine, she collaborated with a group of friends on her first play, staged under a plum tree. Since then, she has been fascinated with the idea of storytelling as a form of communication and expression of the human condition, while also exploring the relationship between us and the natural world. Currently she resides in Brooklyn, New York, where she has been working as an actor and filmmaker for the past decade.
